Agrocybe aegerita. Pioppino mushrooms create memorable risottos with their firm texture and mild, nutty flavor. Also known as the black poplar mushroom in Italy, where it is a favorite fungi, this mushroom develops beautiful membranous rings on the stems which slowly cascade down the stems as the mushrooms mature. When your kit has completed fruiting, you can use the remnants to spawn stumps you'd like to remove such as salix, alder, laurel, cottonwood, black poplar of course, and more. Growing temp: 50-70 degrees F.
